This book contain many of the photographer's favourite pictures taken since 2003, with a few vintage shots (post-1982) included. There are several from Canterbury and Whitstable, where he lived between 1999 and 2006. Locations otherwise range from China to Portugal.
Most of the pictures were taken in the public domain between 2003 and 2006. They are well-observed and generally humorous, sometimes iconic, sometimes a little rude. As the photographer says "It's what you see in the street. I just happen to have a camera in my hand." The pictures are grouped into headings and there are notes about each one.
David Rose is a professional photographer and author who lived in Tankerton-on-Sea between 1999 and 2006. This is his second volume of photographs and is a companion volume to Seaside Frolics: Whitstable, Tankerton & Herne Bay.
